Where's all the Shindo owners?

All I can say is that the sound of the 40.1 with the CCQ satisfies me to the fullest degree.
Full Range. Full Weight. Big Big sound even at low volume.
The bass level is just incredible on some recordings. Placement in the room is a bit tricky. Sometimes one can have the feeling that the CCQs / 40.1 overload the room.
When I hear how wonderful the little MC225 is, but lacks the full weight of bass of the CCQ's, I can imagine that the standard CCs will be better suited for most rooms.

Thanks Jerome. Sounds like you have a wonderful synergy.

Mike do you think the SQ or build quality may change in any way now that the original designer/owner is gone?..............I would imagine his son will "Stay the course" .

From what I understand Ken Shindo's son has been working with him for a number of years so I would expect things to "stay the course." What will be interesting is seeing new pieces introduced, or re-worked older models.

I wonder that myself. It will be interesting to see the direction the son takes the company.

Thanks for the warm welcome gentleman. I see a lot of familiar names here. I was Dirtbag on another forum

Welcome! The Shindo Cortese is the one Shindo piece I keep hearing about. It must be very special.

I used to own a Cortese and it's a great amp, very close to a 300b in t he midrange and better bass. A lot to love there..... However you must have high impedance speakers with high effiency. Plucked strings and voices are really special

k

Good question Jerome. But there is no one truth....only your truth. And being honest with oneself is the first step in finding your musical truth.

Oh man, I'm starting to sound like Bob. :)

Hi Katoomer/Dirtbag...good to see you have made it here. I think we all know from which audio forum you have come so welcome to AS :hi:

Has anyone here tried Shindo on Sonus Faber Stradivari speakers?

I am here! Got banned at AA for calling Dan out on his bullshit editing of John Devore's posts. Also for alluding to the fact that I think he gets a cut of sales based on his elaborate reviews... Ivan did not like my opinion very much.

I will post updates of my system here soon.

Welcome. Can we know your first name?

funny you should ask that.
the only time i ever heard a pair of shindo amps was the f2a's with a pair of strads. and thats what set me off on my SET quest. was an incredible setup ,although you could tell they would have shined a little more on a more efficient speaker. the strads did a damn good job with them, and could go very loud. just seemed a little thin when they were pushed hard with these amps. the next time i went back the shindo amps were sold and they were running the strads on bat vk75se's and that was mind blowing how good those speakers were.
other than that ive only heard a couple shindo preamps and wasnt all that impressed, but i was also told numerous times their pres shine the brightest with shindo amps.
