I think that this particular vinyl choice may be highly underrated for its SQ. Even the "Best Buy" reissue series version that I have ranks among the best sounding vinyl I have. It is wide open with incredible dynamics and sound staging. Even in its thin form the signal-to-noise ratio is very quiet. Reed cared a great deal about sound quality. Michael Fremer reports that he owned Wilson speakers in his NY apt.
An homage to a great blues guitar player: Eric Clapton & Friends/ Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, John Mayer, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Don White; 33.33 rpm vinyl.
Although I nearly ruined my cart trying to play side 4 of the double LP.
One of those bands that never got the recognition they truly deserved. I sit here listening to this album & can relate the sound to quite a few different bands of late, especially indie slanted music.
