What are you listening to tonight ?

Via Tidal.

Never heard of them before until tonight when I got home from work (at 3:30am). Teresa had one of those YouTube "Live" music channels playing on my system, I really liked the song that was playing, so I pulled out my phone and "Shazam"-ed it. Good voice, good music, and good recording quality.

what a nice surprise to run across this release: duke jordan | flight to jordan ...have to love any date with stanley turrentine and art taylor.

snagged the dsd64 download from analog productions. very nice recording, one of the best i have run across, and a great example of a RVG stereo recording once he settled on mic and instrument placing for quintets.

fantastic music and another very well recorded date: sonny clark | leapin' and lopin'

very interesting to compare this to the stereo version of cool struttin' in terms of mic + instrument placement.

Good recording of the talented, but heavily underestimated Jutta Hipp on piano with Zootin’-tooting sax.

Soul Asylum - Black Gold, best of

Mike Ledonne - Partners In Time

If you like Jazz you should check out Ledoone, Partners In Time has him on the piano, Christian McBride on bass. From The Heart is Ledonne on the B3, a title I personally favor.

Remastered from Analog Tape, a soundtrack from Hitchcock’s classic movie, great sound as 33 rpm
