He might have went on living but he made one fatal slip, when he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip...Marty Robbins(that's right, you gotta problem with that?) Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs. Redbook.

After years of collecting Morricone's works for spaghetti westerns, I started searching for sounds of the old West (and the South)... so recently I discovered Marty Robbins. And realized that I actually already know him from Clint Eastwood film.
Listening to it right now, sounds closer to 90's Bristol trip-hop... enjoyable, but not exactly spaghetti western vibe... I recommend different take on Morricone in a form of BABE RUTH The Mexicanoh heck yeah, those spaghetti westerns had some great music! Something you might like which has some spaghetti western like musical themes is the album Rome, by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi. It's a bit different, though but enjoyable.
Yeah, you're right, I was going on my admittedly lousy memory. To me, it's sorta like pop done with a spaghetti western vibe every now and again. Sorry to steer you wrong.Listening to it right now, sounds closer to 90's Bristol trip-hop... enjoyable, but not exactly spaghetti western vibe...
