StillPoint Ultra 5's

Awesome stuff, Nelson! Sounds like you found a tweak that really pays back dividends!:audiophile:

I'm nuts or what ?

You're nuts :woot:

Nelson, you love the audio voodoo, don't you ?

I added Stillpoints under my Alexia's today. GD this voodoo sh!t will make you crazy. It shouldn't work. It shouldn't make that big of a difference - but it does! Bass is much tighter and better defined and I feel like speaker/room interaction has been greatly reduced. Having my system in a second floor room (sub-floor) makes an even bigger impact I think. Why didn't I do this sooner?

The Stillpoint Ultra 5's should come with a warning though: "Stillpoints have an addictive characteristic akin to Audio crack." Now I want Stillpoints under my amps, preamp and sources.

I love and hate that it works - all at the same time.

Nelson, could you please describe what certain quality music recordings sound like with, and without the Stillpoint Ultra 5's?

Thank you very much my friend. :)

Ok Bob but remember my language limitation.
Here it goes :

You are happy with your system, everything sounds great but after you tried the Stillpoints
Suddenly everything sounds with more depth, instruments are more identifiable, voices are
more delicate and natural, like a turntable. You start checking the volume level and don't understand why sound lower, is it because there is no noise ? Don't know how to explained it
but in this last two months I been making demos in my clients and friends and all of them are
Amazed with the improvements.

Thank you; just what I need, a new turntable. :)

Is because now your speakers are really isolated from the room
The energy that you want to drain from the speakers now dissipates now inside the Stillpoints
and not in your room, floor and ceiling .
Love this product man , a lot.

Can we expect another blind test on these ? :woot:

Not a chance Paul. :). Removing them and adding the spikes back and realigning the speakers is a PITA. Trust me, this sh!t works.

Hi Mike,

Did you demo these first or was a leap of faith? Did you buy the screw in adapters (screw threads) also?

I heard Alexia's with Stillpoints and it was superb, but I never demoed them in my home. I took a leap of faith. I did get the adapters yes, and they just screw right into the bottom of the Alexia's easily. It's a two person job though.
