Radio (Paradise) .flac streaming?

Peter

I think they are FLAC only especially Naim as much of the material is from their label. Have you guys though about switching from Tunein to vTuner as it seems to be more flexible.

FLAC. When I cancelled TIDAL a while back and moved to Qobuz I stopped listening to MQA and no longer care if my hardware supports it or not.

A beta firmware for Radio Paradise FLAC, and more than forty other free FLAC Radio stations, is now available. For those who wish to try it, please let me know and state your Lumin model.

Although it is not going to receive a major version change, I feel this is an even more important functionality than the HiFi upgrade of a paid streaming service (that is supposed to launch before the end of the year), for the simple reason that they are free and therefore can be enjoyed by all Lumin users without paying for another subscription. Some free radio stations are donation-supported.

I'm listening to it while typing this.

I’m playing Radio Paradise through my modified Sonos Port into my dac. I’m not 100% sure but I think I’m getting a cd quality stream. Sounds awesome to me and I love the mellow mix stream. RP is so good, I felt compelled to donate. I’m not sure if creating an account and having sent money entitles me to anything special. But, OMG, most of the time when they pick the music, it’s like a revelation. So many wonderful songs that either I’ve never heard or absolutely love.

I agree. Starting to quite like RP

I like Radio Paradice too, but mainly choose their World & Eclectic Mix channel. All 4 channels are now available (using Bluesound anyway) with MQA option and the sound is exceptionally good.

A feature I particularly like is that you can skip any track you don't like, or even the occasional verbal interuptions anouncing the channel you are listening to. Unfortunately you can't go back to the previous track!

Also the artwork can be shown with the 3 dots offering Wikipedia (or other) entries about the artist and links to the artist's Qobuz or Tidal offerings. Excellent!
