Oppo BDP-105

Hi there!
Oppo BDP-105 (firmware BDP10X-83-1226). Although, I could connect to the internet and install the latest firmware, I can’t connect to the player over wireless or wired network to stream from NAS. (Yes, my network setting is ON). I can ping the player, but connection to the IP address is refused as if it has a firewall that denies the connection. Any idea? Thank you so much!

Don't upgrade firmware on a BDP-105. One of the reasons people seek out this model is that it can (through download of the right software to your computer) rip SACDs. Any firmware upgrade will eliminate this capability.

When I had one it came with a wireless adapter that plugged into a USB port in the back. I was able to connect it to my computer through my network.

This describes a method to update the firmware with a USB key, if you are interested. As Randy said, some of the functionality was removed with later updates.

You could try to search for earlier firmwares, there have been much discussion of this issue on the web.
