New Audio Research Video

Mike.......Thanks. That is a good Audio Research video. Their new facility is impressive. I have always had an interest in Audio Research gear, but never quite enough to purchase.

Very nice video.

I have previously owned quite a few ARC components. And, while my electronics currently are a different brand, I certainly would highly recommend and would seriously consider buying ARC components again. The Refs 10, 6, 3 and 160Ms are terrific. The recently discontinued Ref 75SE, 150SE and 250SE as well as the GS150 have been terrific as well.

At a time in which some high end audio founders are passing without much of a succession plan in place, it was comforting to hear ARCs CEO that they have strategic plans in place. As an owner of ARC components, that would be reassuring.

I bought my first ARC piece in 1978. After a long hiatus from hi-fi, I chose ARC again when getting back into the hobby ~2007 or so. Now, with REF10 pre and REF 160M amps feeding my Alexia (1), I am enjoying my system like never before. The 160 amps really elevated my system, and I thought the REF75 was delivering real magic. The 160s have quelled any desire to put a SS amp into my system. I feel very good about being an ARC fan, and am happy to see the company is being well run with a vision for the future. Hopefully that will continue.

Thanks for posting the video. I'm a long time ARC customer. SP5 modded at the factory to SP7. Then later SP9, SP14, LS25 MKII, Ref 5SE, and now Ref 10. Classic 60 amp, Classic 120 monoblocks (hated them) and then for awhile the Ref 250SE on loan. I guess I like the sound they produce? :audiophile:

Excellent video. Has there any announcement for new models? Is Ref. M160 replacing Ref. 150 SE?
