These have been out for some time now, but online comments / reviews are almost non existent. Has anyone heard them? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

:roflmao:

I try to keep on top of the gear Joe has, or has had, but lets just say the list is "fluid". :)

From what I understand, the MC301 sounds like the MC601/MC452, just a little less power. I'd personally still opt for an MC452. Something about that amp that I really love.

My pleasure Rick.

I forgot to mention, the main reason, for me, to go with either of the MC601's or MC452 is that they are Quad Balanced vs the MC301 which is Push-Pull Complementary. I have not heard them side by side, but Quad balanced might be better on some/most speakers.

Thanks Joe!

Joe....according to the faceplate...the MC301's are quad-balanced and it doesn't weigh a ton.:D

That's strange, in the specs on the McIntosh website it clearly states push-pull complementary. Thanks for clarifying. That's awesome!

Why McIntosh decided to place two nipples where the knobs used to be is a mystery to me. .

Hahahaha....I happen to own the MC152 and I enjoy it very much. I was against those nipples when they first came out and wished the knobs were there instead....but I'm liking them now and eating crow. :(
