Mbl 101 mkii - goldmund telos 1000 - dartzeel nhb-18ns - transrotor video 2

Mike,

I have another friend here in Brazil that has the SF Aidas just like you. When I go to his house to hear his system, I also have to stay a few days without turning on my setup ... kkkkkkkkkk!!!

Thanks. Are you referring to Jimmy? If so, I can see that...although I'm not a fan of the Aida's with Mc gear. I heard them with Mc gear in Phoenix. ARC gear takes them to a whole new level. I'm sure Soulution gear would do the same for the SS fans out there. The Aida's sound "big" and completely disappear like Planar speakers, but retain the dynamics of traditional speakers. They do nothing wrong and everything right - as hard as that is to believe. Proper placement can take them to a level near the MBL's. Bi-amping them the way I have done takes them even a step closer. They are indeed fabulous and short of winning the lottery, moving to a much bigger house and buying the MBL 101 Xtremes, they are as good as it gets. Speakers in the so called "super speaker" category - like the Magico Q7's, Raidho 4.1's, Wilson XLF's and Aida's (among others) perform at such a high level that comparing one to the other is not "better", but truly a variance on the term excellence in sound reproduction.

Yes, is Jimmy... I think his system is one of the best I've ever heard... the speakers disappear in the room, the feeling of realism is spectacular.

I didn't have the opportunity to hear SF Aidas with ARC, but I believe the result should be great, I love ARC.

Jimmy is great. I bet his system is top notch too. Would love to hear it. He's a tinkerer like me. Aida owners are a small club and ones that actually listen to them (and don't have them as a show case) are even rarer! I can assure you, mine are well broken in.

Had a listen to the Telos 200 monoblocks for a few days. Not bad, but they ain't no Dag. :P

I thought they'd hold their own. I am sure synergy is part of it. Dag monos would be nice. :D

Telos 200's, which were current in 2009, are three generations removed from the current Telos 250+ models and four generations removed from the recently announced Telos 360, which is the same price as what the T200's sold for when they were current.

Was not meant to be a review more to show some pi s :D. I think 12,000 pounds at the time. Tells 250 is something like 17.5k so price not far off.
. most would say Goldmund sounds best with Goldmund.
3 generations from the 250+. That is a lot of change in a relatively short time. That is faster than ARC;)

I always wanted to hear a Goldmund, now I have.:P
