Just got back from the audio dealer after purchasing my new C1100. I am in sonic bliss with only using it for an hour. It is sounding better and better every minute I am using it. It will be replacing my C2300 which I also love but now I will be fully balanced. My first impression is a larger soundstage, quieter background and more musical. Here is a photo with my iPhone. I am not the best picture taker.

Congrats! She's a beauty. BIG BIG step up from the 2300 I would imagine.

She's gorgeous.

I owned the 2300 and was never a fan. I would hope the C1100 is a giant step up.

I am really liking the C1100 but have only listened for about 2 hours now. I would say it is much better than the C2300. The phono stage in the C1100 or the C2300 doesn't sound as good as my dedicated Audia Flight though, as it shouldn't. I was hoping the new tubed phono stage in the C1100 would be better than it is so I will be keeping the Audia Flight. The AF does match up well with the C1100 going into the line stage.

Congratulations Paul. Looks awesome.

A friend of mine just replaced his C500T with the C1100T. Wow! it is a huge step up from the C500T, so you must be ecstatic with it over the C2300.

I've read about folks replacing the C2500 with the C1100. Even thought I like my C2500 as my guest house toy... the C1100 is a sexy step up and of course, I am seriously considering purchasing another C1000 while I still can.

Congrats Paul !

1. What is the price difference vs C1000 ?

2. Do C1100 still comes with metal remote ?

Just curious :)

C1000 with module and controller retailed for $22K or $33K for all 3 pieces. The C1100T is $13K retail and only available as a tube preamp.

Attached is a pic of the remote. It is not metal. It is plastic with a metal trim. I will be using a harmony universal so that is fine with me. Yes the list is $13k and as of now it only comes as a tube preamp.

What has impressed me with the C1100 is what it has done to the sound of listening to my CD's. Listening to CD's is sounding more analog and much more pleasing to me.

Congrats Paul. I'm sure it's a wonderful piece. Your system was sounding mighty impressive last time. Hopefully with break in, you will like it better than the Audia. It would be nice to simplify. See what you think after 100 hours. Cheers -Don

Thanks Don. You will have to stop by and listen after Thanksgiving. As the C1100 breaks in, it keeps sounding better and better.

Paul,

Congratulations! Great looking piece of gear there....

Where in upstate New York are you anyway.... I grew up there.

Randy
