I have to admit that I am a bit of a JBL fan these days. Not sure why but I absolutely LOVE my 4367's and lately hooked up my 4312D's and I am really, really enjoying them. I know by "today's standards" they are a little long in the tooth but I just listen to what's coming out, not specs.

So have you heard the 4429's? I understand that they are getting the reputation of being the sleeper in the line up. Thoughts?

Joe.......The JBL 4429 looks good. I particularly like the look on the stands with the grill on over the woofer. Do you know the price?

I should know for sure what the retail price is in a few days, but from looking around the web, I figure the speakers are $6-7K for the pair, no mention of the stands. Great photos, thank you. :D

They are considered "desktop" speakers.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forgetaboutit!!!!

"where's Joe?"
"he just stepped out for pizza!"
"....yeah, how come he's riding up the front of that delivery van?"

Joe,

I have a customer who is a big time JBL fan. We just completed a 2 channel JBL "Shrine" in his basement.

Everest 67000s, 4355 Studio Monitors, 250 Ti and a B-460 all on one wall. I did a custom JBL jumper box to allow for seamless speaker selection with no pots or resistors in the way. His upstairs HT rig uses the 4429s. That pair is driven by McIntosh MC 1201s. The 4429 is a hit. It goes low enough to be crossed to a pair of JL Fathom 113s with no problem.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for joining and thank you for driving me crazy with his setup :) .

Wow!

I'd love to see and hear that setup. I'm so curious about the 4429's. OMG! Everest 67000's, Holy cr@p!
