Does anyone here have any actual experience with this line of cables? As in, have you really heard them in action before or personally know someone who has?

High Fidelity Cables

All kinds of positive reviews but I've never heard of them before.

Anyone? Anyone?

I have their CT-1E digital cable and analog ICs. Natural sounding good cables. Would love to try their power cable, but ridiculously expensive. They did just come out with their $2G "entry level" PC a week ago which I may try soon.

I run a pair of CT-1e IC's from my preamp to amps with very good results. You have to give them a couple days to settle in. They have magnets in them. They are very natural and open sounding, once settled. The higher end ones are suppose to be even better more of everything (more magnets) however, are much more expensive.

I don't know how much more of higher end ones bring to the table but at those price ranges there are a lot of other good/great options to choose from. When I put in CT-1E digital and IC's at the same time, it didn't knock me over like other HF guys would have me believe. But you can tell they are good cables. I was replacing HiDiamond XLR2 and digital reference, which are no slouch though.

well, have you realized how the music has changed as soon as the magnetic thing has shown up in the vid ?

i vote for consumer protection and call that product new age crap.

Kzhtoo I haven't heard them either. Cable pricing has gotten out of hand in the last 5 or so years. I'm sure they are better but, how much are we willing to spend for that last few percentage points. I'm happy with my cabling.

Exactly! I'm still consistently getting more improvement over equipment change than the cable change, but the latter is getting more expensive than the former despite much lower re-sale value and much less to show for in comparison. As far as I remember the only two times that I was impressed by cable change is inserting HiDiamond P4 power cord from wall to power regenerator and Shunyata Alpha Digital on BDP-1. In most other instances, the improvements are just subtle to none.

So when was the last time you bought something based on video using a compressed MP3 file?

I don't doubt these are good cables, but the reality is this company not only condones but encourages commercial shilling. And I have a first-hand account from a reliable source that one unnamed individual engaged in shilling on another forum was reigned in by the company for back door selling via said forum. I personally complained to both the company and forum administrators about the behaviors and was ignored by both. Seems everybody makes out.

If you get the general gist of my post, I am not a fan of companies that lack integrity and in particular those that engage in commercial shilling either directly or through sponsored puppets.

Best cables I have ever heard in my system.
I have the top end URR power cords and UR interconnects/speaker cables.
And no one pays the retail on these, just like other cable brands.

the point was that they want to connote theyr magnetic part makes the sound holy.

and no, i am allright with magnetic, dont see no reason to remove any.
actually all you could do is to add actively more and stronger and better magnetic fields.
this passiv tube around the cable....lol
bottom line is.....magnetic fields can be removed.....and will be back in milliseconds

another question myles...are you really fancy them BIGG titts? :)

What else have you heard in your system? I always want to try U or UR from wall to power regenerator.

As for no one is paying retail, IMO and IME, I don't think other cable brands are that far apart like HF.

Audioquest Everest and Synergistic Research speaker cables, Synergistic Research power cords, AQ Sky and JPS Aluminati interconnects.
Got great deals on the HF cables so what they retail for means nothing to me.

carpet selling style

....we reduced that 100k carpet to 50k and reduced it again to 25k and you, because its you, yes, you get it for 12k. in the end you might run away with 7k for the 2square meter carpet.

however, what you get here is a nonsense alutube. you might like it for the look. and the rest of the cable might be a good one.

see, beside improving musicsystems, cabels have been discoverd too to make money the silly way.
so, if you are into just make money ( i had some plans myself :) ), how do you do, how do you catch the people? well, it comes down to marketing....and it works:(

I have all HF cables in my system and they are ..by far..the best cables i have had in > 25 years.I have had some of what might be called 'some of the best ' cables on the market and they are much better.

I just added the new Hemisphere MC-6 power conditioner to my system, connected with the awesome High Fidelity URR power cord.
Really opening up and sounding fantastic - everything plugged into it.

Think its time to leave my feedback or very bad experience on Rick Schulz and High Fidelity Cables.

At the beginning of this year I've sent an request by email to HFC, if an update from Reveal line of cables is a big step up to CT2. They told me it's a clear improvement when going to CT2 full loom. As it was about 10'000$ to go straight to a complete system cabling with CT2 their customer service agreed on 30 day money back warraty if I'm not fully satisfied - so I've take the risk and made the transaction by credit card.

A few weeks later the parcel arrived and I've installed the brand new cables. I was running the TQ Burnin disc 24h to get the cables ready faster. During my listening test I wasn't really impressed by the cables but after further contact with Rick I left them untouched in my system for a longer time. The sound was still boring to listen at and offered a very flat soundstage - the upgrade wasn't worth the big outlay.

That's why I've sent an email to Rick and I was very suprised as he first told me, that there's no money back warranty on this cable line. After complaining and forwarding the email from his customer service, he agreed and I've sent the cable fully insured back.
They have got the cables back and the customer service told me, that it will take up to ten days for transfering the money back - this was end of march! By now, still no money transfered back to me and emails to the customer service get unanswered - only after telling them that I will forward this case to my lawyer and report this fraud to the police department, I've got an answer from Rick telling me, that the money will take another 3-5 days to be sent back - this also was just a liar as there wasn't comming any money back until now.

This is not the customer service a manufacturer should offer to his highend audio customers and cheat them by such big amount of money! The case is now at my lawyer.

Be warned to deal with High Fidelity Cables - thats my experience I had with them and I will never advise any of my friend this cables again - also I've sold all my HFC cables and switched to a trustful brand where the customer service is their most important part in business (thx Entreq btw).
