Has anybody ever heard of Fisher D2 speakers?

I do not believe so. I bought the pair off eBay for $75. They have some spectacular imaging and presence abilities.

I personally don't think so, they were in great shape, and I've gotten more than my moneys worth out of them.

Are there any fisher models similar to these? I've looked around the net for these but can't find absolutely anything. Maybe I have the only pair haha.

Actually they are 80's vintage. They were not sold as separates. They can with Fisher stack Rack systems ...you didn;t overpay but that is about what they are worth

1960's fisher speakers looked like these

Thank you! Finally someone who knows something about them. What exactly is a stack rack system? And what are they used for?

Sidenote- Are the mash cd carousel players really all that high tech?

Yes it is, got it for $25 at a flea market.

Good score!

livelysins96, it is an honor to have you among us, and I truly mean that.

* The MASH (Technics) CD players from back then were good CD players. They were excellent at tracking, and had very low linearity deviations (meaning good sound). Back in the mid 80s to early 90s Technics produced some excellent CD players.
As a matter of fact I do have a MASH Technics CD player myself (4DAC system), but a single disc player (not a carousel). It works superbly, like brand new, and with some awesome features. I think it is a 1990-91 model or so; I paid $15 for it (about ten years ago @ my local Salvation Army store).
I don't use it now though. But I was using it for few years as a secondary guest bedroom system (for the nieces when they came to visit).

Yours is not truly high end, more like low end carousel CD player. ...But that's ok; we get what we can afford and everybody is happy the same to listening to music. :audiophile:
