Looks like the Kagura was a much better match with the S5. What was the rest of the system that so impressed Nelson including preamp, source/s and cables?

Wow guys, looks like a great time. So sorry I couldn't make it yesterday. Had some 'things" come up. You know the single in NYC life. I will try to drop in some time today… My loss…

Magico S5
cj ART amps and GAT preamp
Doshi Audio Phono stage
VPI Classic Direct/3D arm
Transfiguration Proteus cartridge
SRA Ohio Class XL+2 base (and other SRA products)
Modded Technics 1500 R2R with pro-Nortronics heads
King-Cello tape preamp (basically a modded Cello 603 module)
All Transparent Ref MM2 wiring
Kubala-Sosna Emotion AC cords
Silver Circle Tchaik 6 PLC
Furutech GTX-D receptacles

The Kagura are incredible amps, but they, like any 50 Watt SET, should be matched with the appropriate speakers to get the best out of them.

The Kagura sound incredible to me on the Magicos, but I think that running $200K amps on $23K S3's is ????? Now Kagura on Q7's.....that I think is probably a better match to get the most out of the Kagura.

We were using the Emm Labs Dac/transport into the Absolare preamp into the Kagura amps with all Ansuz Diamond cables and power distribution.
