Sort of.
My wife received a call from Frontier our internet carrier. We have had fiber since 2005 when it was owned by Verizon.
They said they were offering a new upgrade.
Their offer was to upgrade us from 500MBS to 1000MBS.
Now the lunch part. The offer is to upgrade to 1 Gig for $5 less per month and you receive your first month of service for free.
So, for $65 a month they will give you 1 Gig.
I have seen other companies offering speed increases so, I guess Frontier is trying to assure customer retention.
If you have Frontier you might want to call and see if they will upgrade your service.
I will keep you updated if they actually do the upgrade.
