CD Transports....

Congratulations Bob!

I am VERY curious to read more about it. Please let me know how you like it. My friend and I were talking about it.

Just ordered the Bel Canto cd3 transport:woot:

More to come..........................

I know it has a DAC and it's not just a cd player, but it is so damn good, plays everything and is in your price range - The Oppo BD105D

I opted for the Bel Canto for a reason. I'll be using with my Rega DAC for now, but down the road I plan on getting the Bel Canto DAC 2.5. I've read that with the cd3t using the aes/ebu connection it is a match made in heaven. Not just the sound, but also because the DAC has almost the same overall dimensions and will fit nicely on the top shelf of my rack:audiophile::audiophile:

Congrats Bob! A very good plan! enjoy!

The transport arrived this morning and I had it set up and running in about 15 minutes. First impression was a wider and deeper sound stage. The mids and highs seemed a little cleaner and the bass seemed more defined.

This is only a preliminary report as I need to get some hours on it. To say I'm pleased would be an understatement:exciting::audiophile:

Eventually I'm going to get their DAC2.5 and things will actually be better than they are right now.

Bel Canto makes solid stuff.

Also, their people working at the home office are extremely professional and outgoing.

They are a pleasure to do business with.
