Hi i have made a decision being banned again on Canuck Audio Mart to post here more, at CAM freedom of speech is going down the drain i would like to be able to give my opinion on something without being accused of trashing the posts, i prefer cd players over turntables and i prefer my speakers without subwoofers and i would like to be able to write about it freely, it is not because i prefer cd,s over vinyl that vinyl isn't good it's just that I prefer cd,s, this is my second time being banned for giving my opinion on a vinyl / cd thread i'm fead up.

I didn't even know it was possible to get banned from Canuck Audio Mart. Wow. Good to know.

Yes Mike you sure can, I,m no angel but it seem's like every time i try to defend a point it's called trashing BUT others say the same things for them it's ok, it seem's like i'm the kind of guy you love to hate, i realy don't mind but there is a limit, 4,872 posts there so i will boost my numbers here for a while.
 
Andre, feel free to state your opinion. We welcome that here. But we always treat each other with dignity and respect here at the Shark, as you already know.
 
This is what got me in trouble, everytime i read a negative comment on cd,s i respond with this, i prefer cd,s because i cannot TOLERATE surface noise plain and simple, my kind of music is 95% smoothhhhhhhhhhhhhh vinyl is also good if you can ACCEPT the snack crakle and pops this is not my case, a turntable make's noise and it's NORMAL where there is friction there is noise, you can accept this or not, ME i cannot plain and simple.

PS: Another unacceptable discussion is i prefer my speakers without subwoofers this one is major, again i don't have the right to say this it's a sin it is called thread trashing.

Yes i do believe this to be true, but i should be able like anyone else to like or dislike something, because an opinion is just that AN OPINION.

Mark i will always treat others the way i want to be treated, by the way with your experience ( avatar ) do you know what kind of speaker this is ?????.

Me too. If the speakers are doing their job, you should not need a sub. I also learned to appreciate awesome midrange over deep bass when I got my Clearfields.

Again very true, i live in a condo my speakers go down to 30hz this for ME is low enough my kind of music doesn't go that lo and i have some audiophiles telling me that i should have a sub or two with my speakers my response as always been with the right speakers you don't NEED subs if you want them it's ok BUT not for me thank you.

Isn't being banned from Canuck Audio Mart almost as hard as being banned from church? I'm surprised that they nailed you for saying you like CDs and dislike LPs. I thought they would get you for the constant love stories you tell about Acoustat speakers. Which maybe you sorta did when talking about your dislike of subs and you don't 'need' them.

I for one am looking forward to reading more stories about why CDs sound superior to LPs and why Acoustats are "heaven on earth."

Where are those comments coming from? I love CDs and Acoustat speakers and I can't wait to read more about both of them.

Very well said, right on the mark.

And know this too Mark: From the very beginning that I met Andre I can assure you that he never disrespected nobody, ever!
But what I saw I will tell you too: I saw people who couldn't accept someone else's opinion!
...And Andre was insulted quite a few times before, and that I saw very clearly.
 
Regarding subwoofers and full range loudspeakers ::

Me truly think and firmly believe in the balanced of bass foundation in any listening room, regardless of the loudspeaker's true extended low frequency reach.
Dual subwoofers for me, @ the very least.

Hi mep, i have never said that cd,s SOUND superior to LP,S what i have said and will ALWAYS say is that cd,s are NOISE FREE and lp,s aren't surface noise is ALWAYS present and will always be it's normal where there is friction there is noise IF you can live with the snack crackle and pops then good I CAN'T as for Acoustats being heaven on earth well i bought them used for $600.00 after the steel frame and modifications to the panels & the interfaces total cost is about 3k and as of now the only pair of speakers that i have heard that come close are the Audio Exklusiv P3.1 at a cost of 16K yes there is better out there BUT at what price i'm a poor man so for ME they are MY heaven on earth.:)
