Bob... When I was a teenager I went to every concert when I get a chance In fact I still listen to them when I'm drive. Still have a piece of Mr. Malmsteen's guitar ( he made a mistake on couple of chord and he smashed it against to his amp at the concert lol) and autographed from David Coverdale and Carols Santana. Anyway I listen to every band who had a great guitarist and when I got older it transferred to Jazz guitarist and that's how I got hooked on this hobby. :)

I've been into Heavy Metal since 1983, which was a great year for the genre. I still listen to it to this day. It has its merits, imo.

Lousy? Not all of them are, really. I find that yes, quite a few are bright and compressed, but there's quite a few that sound just as good as 60s-70s classic rock stuff.
