A little family run business in Australia is doing well on the world stage with USB and analog cables. Some impressive reviews on their cables, which are in some cases significant cheaper than competitors.

Sorry can’t post links yet but try hifi-advice.com search Curious cables and FoilFlex cables

and highfidelity.pl and search FoilFlex Speaker cables - Siltech Triple Crown compared with FoilFlex at 1/50th the price difference.

I’ve taken the plunge and replaced most of my cables now with Curious Evolved USB and FoilFlex XLR and speaker cables and haven’t looked back. Maybe worth investigating for some?

No connection. Just read the reviews online, tried the Curious USB cable. It performed very well. Updated 9 months later to Curious Evolved USB. Read reviews about the FoilFlex on hifi-advice. Thought I would give the speaker cable a try. Worked very well. Then noticed the review from highfidelity. I have recently updated to a FoilFlex XLR which replaced a much more expensive cable.

i have no connection or interest in the company Lenehan Audio only that others may be interested in my findings.

From what I have read and can see from the Pics those Speaker cables are from the same gene pool as David Magnan's Signature series.

Hi Bruce, yes they follow the single flat foil conductor approach. With on shielding on the Balanced XLRs. I was surprised how well they performed in my system. I do have a revealing system as i am unfortunate to have an dedicated acoustically treated room with good electronics and great speakers. From a price perspective they a quite cheap compared to my other gear but they perform way above their price range.

The Alpha was not a good match in my humble sound machine; despite being re-worked by Shunyata it just wasn't happening. To their credit, they were great in working with the dealer to issue me a full refund.

I did however find the new Curious Evolved to be a better match and much more to my liking, enough to keep.

Having been a Hugh Fan of DH Labs products (especially the DIY bulk cables and connectors), I recently tried their Mirage USB. Yumm! While we rarely see mention of DH Labs products in the audiophile chat rooms, certainly worthy of consideration.

Hi John, yes I found the Evolved much better than the original Curious USB which was more edgy and less refined.

I think it is great that so many manufacturers are trying different ideas to improve the performance of their cables at this price point. It can only help to advance the technology and performance for us end users without us having to venture (unless you want to) into ultra expensive options.
