So, DeVille classifies ten thousand bucks for a standmount as....affordable?

Hmmm....gives one pause.

Especially compared to the other OMA offerings. I’d love to hear them but it definitely seems like a lot. :(

So how much would an affordable full loom of Shunyata cables sell for?

From my perspective, OMA seems to have a great reputation for sound and build quality. I don’t have any experience with them but coveted their gear from afar.

I absolutely would love to hear these speakers. Especially with my First Watt or a sweet tube amp. OMG.

IMO you will need a dedicated listening room or a very tolerant SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) prerequisite for these.
My SWMBO won’t allow my audio equipment to be anywhere above basement level. Above ground level, all speakers must be built into the walls and components hidden. Thanks goodness I have a very large basement with three listening rooms or areas.

I certainly hope not. I’d consider at the current price, any more and there’s probably a lot more choices out there.

in monitor land, the new Dynaudio Heritage monitor looks amazing. a friend just got a pair, but he's on the east coast so i can't hear them

Just another speaker that may sound good but its guaranteed to have zero resale value. Its Marketing and recognition that sells speakers, performance is secondary.

I’ve a dealer close within a couple hours drive that I have yet to visit. I think they are worth an audition for the curious cat. They even have the electronics that I prefer too, so who knows. I might come home with an upgrade to my amp😝

But I hear yah on resale. That’s such a an unfortunate factor in some of these hifi pieces. Totally get it. 😬
