I recently got to hear these but did not get to spend enough time with them. I was in a Magnolia checking out the McIntosh gear and heard these driven by the Mc 3channel amp. As I said, I did not get to critically compare them to the second system I listened to but I was more taken with the B&W 802Diamonds driven by the 600wpc monos.

I will have to go back and get a better test drive.

Yes indeed, very nice speakers at a fair price. They are very good both sonically and visually given their price point. One of the best bang for the buck in the line up IMHO.
