Well, I decided to take the plunge and order me some Siltech Royal Signature cables. The speaker cables arrived today.

Oh no...I should never have done this.

They aren't even close the being broken in and I absolutely love what I'm hearing. Smooth, with all the detail, deeper soundstage, musical.

Mike,
Siltech is the real deal! I own the humble 330i classic anniversary interconnect, which performs superbly enough. I can only imagine how much you gain when you climb up to the mega buck range.

Thanks Anshul. I'm loving what I'm hearing. Oh no....full loom coming? I'm afraid to ask, how good are the IC's? Has anyone tried the PC's?

Wow Mike, congrats! They are absolute works of art. I would love to hear them sometime. You have added some amazing gear lately, my friend.

Thanks Ken. I love what I'm hearing. I want to listen a little longer and then I'll do the Devialet firmware upgrade everyone is talking about.

Yes, I use Siltech Royal Signature Ruby Mountain II G7 on my MC2301s into Hydra Cyclops. I have tried other power connects and have performed side-by-side comparisons against Furutech PowerFlux and Shunyata Zitron Anaconda.

These easily best anything I have tried in my system.

Their biggest advantage is that they emit absolutely zero EM emissions. I have proven it with EM testing equipment. It has to do with the Kapton they use. We are talking about material application methodologies used by the aerospace industry.

I am a strong proponent of cable shielding especially when it comes to power connects. If you have tube amps, you should not be using unshielded cables IMO.

I recommend the Furutech Flux connector termination option. They also compliment the addition of Furutech Flux-50 inline power filters which only enhance their performance even further.

If I could, I would have an entire Siltech Royal Signature loom, but it's a very tall order.

Thanks Steve. Adam and Kev were right.

....be afraid! The i/c's have the same effect & Steves point about tube amps is accurate

Mike - is there a new Devialet Firmware update ? I don't see anything except 7.1.1 - December 2014?

Mark... I showed my spouse the Odin 2 thread. She said NFW, don't even think about it! :roflmao:

It would be a good challenge to compare Siltech's flagship Triple Crown to the upcoming Odin 2 line. My money would be on the Siltech.

I got a friend who has a complete Siltech Double Crown loom - speaker cables, phono cable, 2 pairs of balanced ICs and 5 or 6 PCs.

In my experience, those are the very best cables money can buy. I have heard many top of the line cables, but nothing to my ears can touch those Siltechs.

They are the smoothest cables I've heard - zero added hardness or sibilance. Resolution is spooky - you can hear subtle details you didn't know were there. It is like putting Stax Omega 009 headphones on. But best of all - there is zero, nil, nada of brightness or thinness to the sound that is so common is silver cables. The texture and tone color are just exemplary.

I really wish I could afford those ! If there are cables that are really worth the mega buck price - then Siltech must be one of the VERY few.

Mike, nice choice with the Siltech Royal Sig series sc's! Which model did you buy? They were the only other cables I considered before deciding on my Jorma Prime & Statement cables. I really love the Siltech cables which have exemplary build quality, rich tonal color, good bass & are very quiet. I just felt in my price range, Jorma offered a bit better sound for the money. But as Adam eluded to, if you have the coin, Siltech can sell you cables which, with the possible exception of TL Grandmaster Evo cables, are the best money can buy .

Thanks David. I went with the Royal Signature Prince. It was a stretch, but Kev gave me the final nudge to go for it.
