Review: Cambridge Audio Edge A Integrated Amplifier: A Complete Package

2019 Axpona Cambridge was hyped on their Edge series. They had the Edge pieces driving a smallish set of B&W. I wasn't impressed, it sounded like the Cambridge sound if yu're into that. Maybe side by side with their regular line a difference could be heard, but, my thought was, it's Cambridge. For the price range this gear is in I expected more refinement and something to justify the extra expense.

Keep in mind my opinion is my own and based on the only one exposure. However, I am very familiar with their regular line and sound. I just didn't hear much difference in the Edge.
 
Thank you for your thoughts. I have no opinion either way. Just hoping gear is getting better for less money.
 
I biamp my HGP Fuga ST speakers with Cambridge Edge A and W. I love them, great sound for the money. I use the internal DAC. The amps are connected via Magnan Vi XLR. Source is an iMac via AQ Diamond USB with Uptone ISO Regen/Sbooster bower supply/Ansuz Darkz. What does not work is DSD via HDMI.
