I signed up for the beta version of Qobuz tonight and everything seemed to be fine until i tried to play one of the albums i had loaded in Favorites...the album shows up just like in Tidal but when i add a track...Tom Sawyer, for instance and try to play it it will not play. the information for the HD settings appears as does the album cover but the track will not start to play...i am signed in to Qobuz on the Lumin app..thoughts..??

Is it actually an album that is available for streaming and not a Hi Res that is download and buy only? If it is Hi Res try the standard version and see if it plays.

..Jack thanks..i did finally get it to play but after about 2 minutes. It is really skipping also but then Tidal and Roon are doing the same thing. This hasn't happened in a long time..may be the reason it was taking so long to play. i have rebooted the modem/router and turned the computer on/off...hopefully this might help..dave

It still won't play and Tidal won't either...I am about ready to trash it unless someone can figure out something better...where are the 'standard versions..?.i only see High Rez versions..!

Dave

What album is it? Qobuz and Tidal are both playing fine here and I'm on Xfinity which is finicky some days. Also check your iPad and make sure you don't have any pending updates.

Interesting...i did play a non high rez classical track and it played perfectly..As a 'beta tester' are you not not allowed to play the High Rez albums..?.Tidal is still skipping like crazy and taking a long time to start once 'play' is hit. I hope this is just a coincidence..!!..there is an update on my iPad which i will add now.we will see...dave

When you signed up for the Beta account you had to pick which plan you were signing up for in the free month. I picked Studio as that's what I'll use when things are fully up and I cancel my UK account. In theory if you pick a Hi Res album that is available for streaming and you don't have a Hi Res account it should play it as a FLAC file but that is not always the case. I suspect that if you are getting stuttering or non play on higher resolution albums from both companies then the problem is ISP bandwidth related as the Hi Res titles take much more bandwidth to play. If by playing "Tom Sawyer" you were referring to the Rush song it played fine here in Hi Res.

Not sure where you got that from. Yes you can play hi-res albums. Ive signed up ( Beta) and I have studio. I've been playing hi-rez albums for days.

Jack...upgrading my iPad...3 hrs...must have been the fix as everything is great this evening. Thanks so much for the tip...

Hey Dave

Glad that was it. Don't know why a pending IOS update stops music streams but it seems to do it every time.
