Did Porsche really need the money bad enough to sell their name. When companies sell their name they must also sign away any control or input on whether the product toes to market. I remember Harley Davidson sold their name and it appeared on some of the most cheezy unreliable, low quality sproducts.
I can almost understand selling the name after the company goes under, ie.Sansui, Memorex, Altec, etc. but ehy, when you are still in business, and, generally have a rep of higher quality product.
I suppose the bottomline must be there or else they wouldn't do it though. And, maybe they think no matter the outcome of a sound bar it couldn't hurt their car sales and rep.
