Phono Stage pre-amp

Question: Could a phono stage pre-amp be constructed using a pair of dissimilar triodes such as the 6DE7? I know 12AX7s and 6DJ8s are the norm, but was just curious. I've an idea. What about the 6DE7 as a driver tube for a pair of 6146s in P-P?

What is the basis for your question? Do you have the skill to design a tube phono circuit or are you going to copy an existing circuit and want to know if you can swap the type of tubes used?

I was thinking about designing one since I don't think anything using those tubes exists.
