If balanced/unbalanced input is used - does the signal goes only to balanced/unbalanced pre-out - or both balanced and unbalanced?

Any input signal goes to both sets of outputs. I have my balanced pre-outs going to my amp and the unbalanced pre-outs going to my powered subwoofer.
