I've had a full loom of the new entry-level Shunyata Research Gamma line of cables in-house for a review I'm writing for about a month or so now, and I have to say I have been very impressed with them. For an "entry-level" line of cable products, they are truly superb. They're huge step up over the original Venom line and IMHO, they're better than the both the legacy Delta and the more recent Venom-X line with respect to instrumental and vocal weight as well as body, presence, and timbre. Just a superb value proposition at their price point (where Value=Quality/Price).
I've been so impressed with the Gamma line of cables, in fact, that I purchased a pair of the next-higher level tier, the new Theta ICs, specifically, Theta XLRs to connect my Lumin P1 to my Constellation amp.
Well, I received my new Theta XLR ICs on Dec. 24th. After letting them settle for 3 days coming off the logistics truck, I installed them on Dec. 28th.
All I can say is...WOW!
This new Shunyata Research Theta XLR IC cable is a veritable breakthrough with respect to performance for it's price tier. This cable punches WAY above the legacy Delta cable line it replaces. If interested in more detail for the complete Theta cable line, Neil Gader has a full review of the entire new Theta cable line in Jan. 2025, Issue 356, p. 116 of TAS. He was really impressed too. He refers to them as "category-busting", exactly the same as my experience cited above, and gives them his highest recommendation, which I agree with as well.
If interested, MIke can set you up. Cheers.
