The Listening Chair’s Kemper Holt has in for review FYNE AUDIO’s F1-8 stand mounted speaker ($10,499/pr.). Its cabinet is supported on a machined aluminum plinth that houses the company’s proprietary bass diffuser. Surrounded by a rubber surround, the F1-8 features a 200mm low frequency driver mated to a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter, which Fyne states together create a point source, time aligned transducer delivering isotropic radiation (i.e., it radiates sound in the same intensity across the entire audio spectrum in all directions).

Hand finished at Fyne Audio’s UK factory, it’s shown here in a really gorgeous walnut veneer with burr inlay.

It does look like a grounding post in between the lower cable connectors. Also, there's a knob on the front of the speaker. It looks like a volume control, (is the speaker self powered?) or perhaps a blending control?

A brand that’s completely fallen off the radar after their distributor change. So many stupid companies out there, it’s just mind boggling.
