This is Rick with Ice Age Audio. I wanted to make everyone aware of our new OFC Power Cord. While our original line of Power Cords remains the foundation of our company, our new OFC Power Cord takes everything to the next level. It’s available in both 15 and 20 amp versions. It’s constructed from our Cryo Treated, Soft Drawn, Solid core, 99.9999% Pure Oxygen Free Copper Wire. It’s the same wire that we use for our Interconnects, USB and Speaker Cables, each item using a different configuration. Stu McCreary of Positive-Feedback Magazine is currently preparing a review of our entire product line. After trying/demoing our assorted products, he came back to me and stated…My system has never sounded this good!!! This is coming from a person who has been writing reviews for the industry for 40+ years. Stu is now using our OFC series in his own personal listening system. This is also the case for Don Sachs, builder of High End Tube Gear. and John Mingo, founder (now retired) of Baetis Music and Media Servers. This cable has the warmth of Copper, along with the detail of Silver, without the harshness. The sound stage is HUGE, with warm, low bottom end, accurate instrument placement and precise up front vocals. When accompanied with our other products, you can definitely achieve the “You are there” experience. If you haven’t heard of us, just Google our company name, and the rest is self-explanatory. We are NOT a Smoke-N-Mirrors Company, we simply offer a product that works, at a fair price.

Please take a look at our site, and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I emailed Ozzy immediately after being made aware of his post. I then checked all of my email sources, including spam folders, and found nothing. I can't respond to something that I never received. I haven't heard back from Ozzy yet.

must be all that 'icy' weather in Northern Michigan blocking all the incoming data on that OFC wire ......,.. :D

As a reviewer and writer, I suggest paragraph breaks between thoughts. That is accepted style and particularly important for readers using a small screen. Do not let your message get lost. And never, never ignore the all-important segue.

and omit the sentence that starts with, 'The soundstage is HUGE' ....... :disbelief:

@iceageaudio how do you produce OFC that is six-9s pure (99.9999%)? Truly interested in your process, not dinging the product announcement....

Produce or purchase? I'm betting on purchased.

You are correct, I purchase the wire. We are not a corporate outfit, just the opposite actually. We are a Father and Son outfit. I've been in the hobby for close to 45 years, and operating this company since 2012. I have worked with private Tube Gear Builders for the majority of that time, I don't do the retail thing. I'm in contact with many people within the industry and the hobby. We have a very loyal clientele, all of which used to use the major name brands, but are now using ours. I'm only trying to make people aware of something that does an amazing job, for 10% of the cost of the compitition, with similar, if not better end results. You don't have to believe me, it's your choice. But for all of our clients who have tried, and continue to use our products, they have all benefited from it. Our products, when combined, produce the "You are there" experience.

I'm just a guy enjoying this hobby/industry. You can either take advantage of it, or don't, it really doesn't matter to me. The orders and inquiries continue to come in daily. As a well known Tube gear Builder once said to me, once I found your products, I stopped looking. We've been working together for about 8 years now.

Happy Listening - Rick

"These forums are here to educate and inform." Thanks, Rick. I will be checking your products out.

On the flip-side, these forums are also an outlet for folks who feel compelled to criticize, correct and condemn people. For God's sakes, you were introducing yourself and the power cord on an informal discussion forum, not submitting a document for publication.

Please know that there are people here on this forum who really do visit hoping to learn and gain awareness, and who welcome you whole-heartedly.

My comments were meant to be helpful. I spent decades writing quasi-legal documents at work. Everything mattered.

I use a 22" monitor and I almost stopped reading the first post because it ran together. I have quit reading posts in the past for the same reason. If someone is using a tablet or phone the problem gets worse.

My comments were meant to be helpful. Your comments on the other hand: "On the flip-side, these forums are also an outlet for folks who feel compelled to criticize, correct and condemn people."

Constructive criticism vs just criticism. Your support of the OP is appreciated. The rest of your post was not necessary.

Now it is time to get this thread back on topic.

Thanks for posting about your cables here Rick.

Welcome and I wish you the best with your business!

This is just an FYI. There was a wire company in the 80's called "Randall Research". Randy produced a phenomenal product, it was the only company/product that I used until I started making my own. Randall Research went out of business for no other reason than he lost his resource for his wire. The wire that I'm using for my OFC Series product line is readily available for now!!! To protect myself and our clients from any changes in a spec, or a discontinuation of this wire, I currently have close to 50,000 feet of this wire on hand. I believe in this wire, and I don't want to experience any unexpected changes with it. I will continue buying 5,000 to 10,000 feet at a time, as I can afford it, until it is no longer available.

I just looked at your cables and they look great with affordability for those with pockets less deep. PCs are in line with Cullen Cables.

Dizzy, my comments were not directed at any person in particular, including you. My apologies if that's how it came off. I just felt that Rick wasn't exactly getting the warm welcome that we usually give to new forum contributors but again, I can see where I may have come off as being guilty of the very thing that I was charging others with. Respectfully noted.

I appreciate your contribution to this forum, as have I appreciated Stereo Times very much over the years.

This has to be the most civil forum I've ever been on. I was greeted with open arms, and someone came to my rescue faster than I could respond. I want to say thank you to all the people involved.

Yes, and those people can ask respectful questions as has been done here.
