Thanks for posting that Joe. Generally a very good review of a modestly priced product. It offers most of what the M10 and M33 do, though perhaps at a slightly lower level than the M33. In particular the casework is pretty basic and the LED display is not a patch on the M series units. If bought with the new C298 power amp and a good pair of interconnects, there's still a small saving in cost compared with the M33, but I personally am happy having paid the £4000 cost of the even more excellent M33. For those with a decent power amp they don't want to change, the C658 is surely a crazy bargain at £1700 or the even better $1650 US price that presumably excludes tax. Peter

Thank you for your thoughts Peter. I’m thinking about it as another source for casual streaming that could best my Sonos.

I just heard one of these the other day in a setup with McIntosh c2700/MC275 and Sasha DAWs. Really a nice sounding system. I downloaded and played around with the app for a bit which is pretty slick. Supports all the usual streaming services, has a multitude of features, even tone controls. For the price it seems outstanding.

Not meaning to rain on anyone's parade, I have seen complaints of defects and bugs with this unit. Sometimes that happens with a new model and the issues eventually clear up. I'd just chec around before buying.

When I say, "seen", it's other owner's posts on various audio pages/forums.

From what I understand the Dirac function is only for bass frequencies but full response software can be purchased.

I’ve seen those two. My brother wants one and I might jump on board too. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not insanely expensive.
