It's been a few months swapping the following 3 ethernet cables in and out in all possible combinations from switch to LUMIN T2, both with and without the GigaFoil between the two:
Wireworld Starlight 8
Avanti Audio Vivace
Shunyata Venom-X
The combination that works head-and-heels over all others (and is staying put for now) is Starlight from switch to GigaFoil then Venom-X from GigaFoil to LUMIN. So good that I said WOW! out loud after the first few seconds with the Venom-X feeding the LUMIN, and I was the only one in the house.
I know, synergy is very important. Interestingly, I discovered from these experiments that I LOVE the way the GigaFoil performs in this configuration. While I wasn't impressed with it when I initially used it with other cables, this order just flat-out works. I've never heard better sound in any system that I've ever had.
The Starlight 8 (which I have a long run of from router to switch and was the only ethernet constant in all of my testing) and the Avanti Vivace are both excellent cables in my experience. But this Venom-X is another animal altogether in my system. It was considerably more expensive than either of the others, but in my opinion its contribution to a much better level of musical enjoyment merits the higher price of admission.
