Hi All,

I was once very active here pre covid when I was in the process of a major upgrade (Thanks Mike!). At the time, I was an early adopter of the MSB REF dac, and chose to upgrade it to the Femto 77 clock. I am now waiting for a Femto 33 to upgrade the DAC. Have any of you gone through this upgrade? It seems many agree that the 33 will be a positive shift that can be noticed, but I'm wondering if there are any specific things I should be looking for after the install? Thanks!

I also had the Ref DAC with the Femto 77 and I made the upgrade to the Femto 33 a few years later. The improvements were significant. To my ears the most predominant change was a newfound smoothness - almost more of an analog character - that emerged in all of my favourite recordings. Secondly there was greater resolution of micro dynamics, especially on very dense musical passages. The delicate timber and nuances of the instruments on various recordings became even more apparent and enjoyable to listen to. To sum it all up, it made the already great sounding Reference DAC sound even less "digital" and it brought me even closer to and engaged me in new ways with the performance of the artists and the music in all of my recordings. Best $10K CAD I ever spent. On a clock! Go figure!
