Marcin....Fantastic pics. Love the MT10 at night. It's glow is really special. And who can argue about it's wonderfully blue cyclops eye.

This is a table that can scale up cartridge wise.

I too have an MT10 - I am an obvious fan! Have any of you tested or encountered a need to adjust the 33/13 + 45 rpm speed?

That unit is equipped with an optical speed sensor control. If the speed is off, it might need to be serviced.

Oh wow, that's really kewl! I do not detect a problem...but thought I was suppose to check. If I need not too, that's great!

Easy to check speed. You should have a method. There are several to choose from. As you know, the speed on my table was off. Granted, it is a used table purchased from Audio Classics. No way to know if original owner had previously fooled around with the fine adjust speed control. It should come perfect from the factory. Yours is likely perfect. But always necessary to check the speed of the table yourself. So easy to do that there is no reason not to periodically check. The optical sensor is really nice to have. I love that part of the design. What a great sounding table, even with the stock cart, once properly set up. My arrived way out of whack. The arm was not parallel, tail up configuration, and thin bass. Also, when the tracking force tested, it came in at an unbelievable 4.26 grams!!!!!!!! Plus, the speed was at 33.59 and 45.66. It's no wonder the previous owner didn't ever play the table .... The analog magic was missing. I'm very fortunate to have a good friend and dealer who is a bonafide turntable set up maestro. My MT10 has been in my possession, properly set up, for less than a week and I am absolutely smitten with this table. Better than my VPI Scoutmaster, 10.5i arm, classic platter, SDS, Benz LP-S setup!! No joke. The VPI / LP-S is cowering over in the corner. The MT10 is a siren!

@bill ... Lol. The MT10 is worthy. Just look at that glow in SoundRebel's photos up thread. As Steve and many others have testified, this table/arm is scalable ... Wanna put a 15k GFS, it can handle it. I'm going to stick with stock for a while. Maybe someday throw my LP-S on it. Although more likely to stay in the same family line with a Clear Stradivari or daVinci cart. GFS is likely too lofty for me.

@steve and @golucid, reading about both of your systems and experience with the MT10 were instrumental in finally pulling the trigger after years of admiring the MT10 from afar.

I have a custom dust cover from Vu at Gingko Audio on its way. Should be here next week. It will be identical to Steve's design.

Awesome! The MT10 loves Clearaudio cartridges, Stradivari and upwards.

I have had a DaVinci V2 on the MT10. It was fantastic and I highly recommend that choice for this table.

Steve, I often wonder if I should have purchased the Stradivari. I went with the Ortofon Windfeld because I wanted colourization/warmth/tube sound. Or, at least, that is how it was sold to me when I was comparing both with the dealer.

Hey, Jason. I totally forgot to ask you while on the phone, what did you use to check the speed?

I use an iPhone app called PlatterSpeed in conjunction with a test record called "Adjust+" by ProgTec and Dr.Feickert Analogue. Simple and highly accurate. Test track plays a 3150hz test tone and app records the frequency of the signal played through the speakers. Pretty nifty.

I also have a KAB speed strobe. This was my original method. I tend to default to the test record and app but this can serve as a confirmatory tool. The app is soooo precise.
