MC8207 vs ATI 6007

Barry, all I can add...is what I've already told you in private. ATI certainly doesn't have much cache; it's plain-Jane to look at, and won't really make you the envy of your fellow audio/video-philes.

However...I'm tight with a dealer, who thinks Morris is a genius; and many "in-the-know", actually are aware...that Morris makes a lot of OEM circuits, for some hi-end/hi-tag badges. This dealer says the 6000 Signature series, is Morris' "baby". To me, that always bodes well; a designer's amp...like he were building it for himself.

That being said...I don't know anything about the Mac; so I'll be happy to hear other feedback and votes.

I've owned a ATI2002 (200watts per) for over 6 years. Solid build quality, dependable sure it's not a beauty but I don't buy an amp or component because it looks pretty. I find the amp pretty transparent but I do notice the bass is strong and tight but maybe a little lean way up on top, but it gets the job done for the price as compared to amps selling way up. One nice thing about the ATI amps is you can send it off to ATI and have additional channels added to support any HT use, 3.1 or 5.1. Matter of fact mine is going off to increase it to a 2005 as soon as I complete some home projects. I heard a 6002 and it was a beast, also I like the seven-year transferable warranty.

I have the ATI 6007 and think it's superb for HT. Great for 2 channel as well. Industrial looking and very heavy.
