Just bought the Lumin D2 yesterday and last night was playing fine. This morning I turned it on, it shows the circle on display. Can't figure out what happened. I tried hard reset by using a pin from behind , reset it a few times, still the same thing. If I remove the network cable, it will show network error. But as soon I as I plug the cable in , it shows the circle. (see attached pic). Did I get a defective unit?
My Lumin app won't detect this unit as well.

You might try doing a factory reset using the Lumen app on your phone or tablet. You can also power cycle by unplugging the power cord for a few minutes. Just some things to try. It may or may not solve your problem. Good luck.

Turn the Lumin off with the back switch and shut the network down back to the router and re-boot from the router forward one piece at a time. No need to turn the Lumin off when not playing it just let it go to sleep at the most. During this process turn the control device off too.

A circle display is normal expected behavior after factory reset or clearing the current playlist. Please use Lumin app to add some music to the D2 and start playing.

Was your problem ever resolved? I am facing exactly the same thing and can't get past the circle. My last effort was to re-install the app--was that a mistake? Am I looking at a UPnP issue now? Thanks for any help!

In Lumin app, do you see the Lumin D2 being selectable?

Please use Lumin app to add some music to the D2 and start playing.

Thanks Peter, for your quick reply. To answer your question, there was no option to select the LUMIN D2. After spending a lot of time chasing other ideas, I finally revisited the router and saw that UPnP was turned off. Long story short, I turned it on and the app connected with the D2. Why was it working before? Who knows—maybe because the LUMIN is connected by cable to the router, rather than by WiFi? When I have more emotional strength, I’ll turn it off again and see what happens.

Audioshark demonstrates the internet’s unique ability to bring people together who would never otherwise find each other. But...it only works when people like you are generous with their time, knowledge and enthusiasm.

Thanks again,
Jim

The router UPnP function should not affect Lumin D2 to be seen by Lumin app.

The reason toggling it fixes the discovery problem is because a router setting change causes the router to be rebooted (normally).
