Looking for a decent listening chair and ottoman and ideas ? I don't want to spend a fortune but I want something comfy. Or maybe just a nice recliner.
What do you use????? Pics appreciated !! Thx

I also have a Flexsteel chair in my primary listening position and recommend them highly. Find a local Flexsteel dealer where you can check out the various models, and you can either purchase them as stocked or order them in an amazing number of different fabrics. Great quality with Flexsteel's exclusive spring support system, they are very comfortable and really hold up well over the years. Most models include a lifetime warranty even on the cushions and springs. Well worth the money and generally available at a significant discount from list pricing.

On the affordable end, ikea poang chair :)
On the expensive end, eames aluminum group lounge chair :)

Any picture Bill?
Mine is a Kingsman model similar to this one but in a high grade fabric. It's a swivel glider which is really comfortable with great support even though it's a low back design and I'm 6'5" tall. I intentionally selected a model that didn't have a high back which can create reflections affecting the perceived soundstage.

my acoustic guy said chair and ottoman fine but if possible avoid high backed chairs , especially leather that could cause lots of reflections at ear level. If you already have one a comforter over leather can help minimize the effect.

I have always preferred a lounger and rocker for the most comfortable listening.

+1 this is very good advice.

I like the cheap ikea one. I can get it in black and white to match everything and it has a matching ottoman and if I don't like it I can chuck it in a back room and get another. Lol!! Thx!!

Steve, I'd suggest checking out the Ikea chair before buying it if you have a location nearby. After seeing several recommendations for it elsewhere I tried it out and found it very uncomfortable, but of course YMMV. It also has a pretty high back that may introduce some undesirable reflections depending upon your height and position in the chair. Good luck!
