Not going into details (we could be here all day) but bought a Furman PS-8D to see if it would silence my Velleman amp (a lifelong trannie buzz problem and right speaker buzz). Both very low but I KNEW they were there and teams of experts could not get this thing beyond the great strides we made when I first bought her and renovated.

DEAD QUIET. My Trannie buzz must have been dirty power...and of course that translated to the speaker buzz..again..you had to put your ear there but why have that at all?

The FURMAN not only corrected that but NOW I truly understand BLACK background...wow...

Oh, I read the title wrong. I thought you were professing your love for Justin Bieber. :P

That's great news that you managed to get rid of your noise!

Not Bieber..The Monkee's..

Clean power is the foundation of your system
Enjoy

Thanks Nelson...lesson learned. If you could imagine all the work that went into that amp prior. Open heart surgery might be slightly easier...and less dangerous to the doctor...LOL

It is amazing how the basic may elude while we are riveted on the complex...

try to get on ebay a power sniffer so you can verify the quality of your AC current
is not expensive

Again my thanks Nelson. Can I pose a question ? What is your thought on trying to keep audio cables and power cables away from each other ? How about audio cables crossing audio cables? Since they are shielded, is there any effect ? Thanks

Power conditioners and sniffers, crossing cables perpendicular to one another, the Biebs? What's next Rob, these things... :snicker:

Doug, I used to make fun of cable risers....then I went to a demo at CES. Order placed. Laugh no more. ;)
