Even though I get to play with lots of great gear, I still Jones for certain pieces for my home system. This is definitely one of them:

After spending nearly 4 hrs with Serge Schimdlin last Sunday, I am Jonesing for some (by far unaffordable for me) Audio-Consulting gear!
Magically sparkly! and this was just his digital.

On Dec. 15 we have a return engagement where his Vinyl will be ready and the room will get to the optimal 21 degrees. It was at best 19.5C when we listened. Maybe I can get him to play R2R as well....Hmmm

Wow! I love Vac. I really want to get an Iq200 and a matching Vac preamp!
I’m trying to wait to see if I want to go the horn route when Mike gets his Avantgarde Uno fino in. But you know I like bean bag tossing games! :rolleyes:
 
I love the VAC Renaissance SE phono. It was worth spending almost twice what I thought I'd ever drop on a phono stage. If the Statement were at all close to reachable for me I'd do it, but sadly it's not. Best I can hope for is an epic deal on a used unit several years down the line, and even then...

For now I just have to deal with naughty thoughts of wanting to acquire a 2nd Renaissance phono (even if non-SE) just for my Stax setup.
