Hi,
after your good advices, i decided to buy the MC452 for my WA Sasha :rolleyes:

I should receive it thursday or friday :exciting:

...the waiting is a part of the journey ;)

Frank - congratulations! You will love the 452! Sonically, it is identical to the 601's (the new Mc sound) and competes with amps costing many multiples its cost IMO. And let's face it, there aren't many better looking amps either! Big congrats! We will look forward to hearing more about your 452 when it arrives. Oh...and we love pictures....especially pictures of new Mc gear!

Congrats Frank, I've always had a soft spot for Mc gear, and have owned several of their amps !!

I bet you will love it !!!!
 
Congratulations Frank. How cool is that? Great news and looking forward to your opinion. The first hour or two doesn't count. From then on it's wonderful.

Me and Mc is an old story. I had previously a mx136 and mc207, and the MCD500 (witch i always has), the men220 i sold when and i replaced the 136 by the mx150...and last pieces...the 1201 :audiophile:
And i decided to try another way with the Ayre combo (MXR and KXR)...but even if this combo worked like a charm with my Sasha...i missed something. No more blue eyes, and worst...no more magic :( At a point where i almost decided to quit the world of hifi...

Now, i know that there is better than my Mc on this world...but i accept this idea but want to return with something more "reasonable". I love this brand as i love Wilson Audio, not only because of their sound quality, but also because i share a lot of their values. And the simple fact of looking this gear, even if it's not turn on, make me feel happy :D

There's something special about Mc...a legend and bit of magic :heart:

i hope that you can understand my poor english...please forgive me if not :blush:

Frank - you did great at describing your feelings! There is something about Mcintosh gear - it just sounds right.
 
Congrats on the amp. I am fixing to have Mc gear also. I have never listened to it. When did they aquire the new sound, when the 601's were released?
 
Considering I've seen the (blue) light in the process of picking a summer amp... yea, the MC452 is a wonderful choice. :)
 
I think you will love the newer McIntosh amp sound. I noticed an audible improvement, to me, when I switched from two MC352's to the more modern MC601 mono's even at 6 watts.
 
2 days before the big day...always too long :panic:

Now...i'm reading some reviews about the c500t...am i totally mad :disbelief:

My C500T is a keeper. I really like it and it's goes great with my MC601's.
