Who here has had dealings with Accessories4less? How have they been?
I'm asking because they have something I want at $50 less than new. It's a refurb unit, but for what it is a refurb should be just fine. They claim it is a "Factory refurb unit", has anyone purchased refurb units from these guys and found them to be true factory refurbs or not? I would definitely want a true factory refurb, not store refurb attempt or jury-rigged, etc.
They do have a 1-800 number right up front which is usually a good sign that everything is as it should be. I just want to hear about actual experience to be sure.

Eric, I have never dealt with A4L (I live in Canada), but several people did, and the vast majority (99%) were totally satisfied.
It's a good reputable place to deal with, and they are 'customer satisfaction' oriented, 100%.

Also, newegg.com is another good spot, in particular every Saturdays, when they have their best sales going on, and everything is mostly new, only few refurbs. It's worth checking out; tomorrow is Saturday. :) ...And it is also a good reputable place, solid.

And yes both places are authorized dealers for the products they sell.

Yep, they are good people. I bought a few things from them in the past and my buddy bought a refurbished Onkyo AVR a few years ago. It was factory refurbished and was like new. I've heard that some of the stuff that manufacturers sell as refurbished is just slow moving new overstock stuff, but as always YMMV.

I'm assuming that you've finally settled on a new AVR?

Well, that settles that then. I think I'll first check Newegg (though I doubt they will have what I want on sale) and then I'll go order from A4L. Thanks all.

Uh, "resolved" and that's all I am permitted to say.

You might be surprised; today is Saturday (12:25 AM Eastern time). ...Just have a look.

Here's just an example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882120206 ...And it is new.
{A4L has it for $579, refurb.}

And there is this (from A4L); another example : http://www.accessories4less.com/mak...-flagship-home-theater-receiver-150wpc/1.html
{That's a pretty good price, a refurb.}
