I don't intend this to be any kind of complaining about HD Tracks overall...but ever since their site upgrade, I find it extremely frustrating to use.
Primary reason being that for me it's extremely slow. Page loads typically take several seconds, sometimes up to 10 seconds...and it's never better any time of day.

No other site ever takes this long, I have a very good Internet connection overall, have tried FFox, Chrome and IE. All are dreadfully slow.

I've asked HDTracks support several times but all I ever get is "we're working to improve the site all the time" ..or something to that effect.

Is it just me? :S

Ray - I find it a little wonky to use. The buying process is screwy. As for speed, I haven't had any issues of late.

I agree. I have many, many issues with their new site. From speed to usability. Their old site, while not as good looking seemed much more reliable and quick. I'm hoping the Pono music service (supposedly coming later this year) will be a good replacement or at least offer some healthy competition.

Agree about the quirkiness of the website.

I can't understand why there isn't much more competition to HD Tracks these days.

Aside from a much more limited selection at Acoustic Sounds and a few sort of boutique sites, I don't believe there's anybody else that even remotely competes in terms of selection.

I agree completely, for the life of me I can't understand why there are not more options. I guess it really is a very small market and not much $$ to be made.
I've tried to support HDTracks, Linn and Naim as much as I possibly can, but in the end it continues to be frustrating.

..and now more and more with Linn I get the "not available in your country" message.
..and paying extra for "high-rez" is proving to be a $$ waste all too often. complain complain complain :) 'think I'll go listen to some music :) ..and stop whining.

regarding speed, I guess it could depend on where you live, when I lived in South Carolina the speed was pretty good after the HD update, now that I have moved to Fla the speed of HD tracks and about everything else Brighthouse ( cable provider in my area) pretty much is the pits.

Just tried to use their latest 10% store-wide coupon... gave up, just too much trouble. oh well.
