What a deeply pedigreed brand!

When the day comes that my kids wheel me to assisted living, this is what I'll likely have under my arm!

Smart. Tubes would leave a mark. [emoji6]

What's your view on this unit Mike?

It’s definitely the little Brother of the 300. From midrange up, very similar. The differences are, the 300 has:

Bigger soundstage
More thunderous bass
Effortlessness.

That being said, the 120 makes sense with a lot of speakers like the Harbeth 30.2’s and SHL5+, among others.

Larry has it now on loan. Maybe he will chime in.

I have found it to be a sweet little amp. The bass is actually better than my Pass Int-60 and the sound is a little more neutral. The Pass has a more tube like sound if that’s your liking. Having a choice between both units I would pick the Diablo 120 easily if cost wasn’t considered. Cranked up high the bass gets a little loose compared to the 300 which is to be expected. But it’s very close in sonic signature otherwise. I think in my small 11x14ft room I would be satisfied with either.
Comparing costs the 300 at over twice the power of the 120 for about a third more money makes it a fantastic deal.
So many amps ...and I’m too close to Suncoast Audio.
.......it’s almost year end clearance day Mike ! :woot:

Great feedback, I was looking for something to pair with a quality bookshelf speaker (think Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolution or Tradition).

On paper the 120 ticks a lot if not all the boxes.
