Well look like hes reading the forums cause he did make a vid with music playing through the SQs lol! There is a clip of his wife crying when listening with the Enleum; looks like this amp brought her to tears. (Gotta love Huff if you want some social media marketing!)
Anyway back to the speakers…they are an upgrade from a standard deville. But don’t let the hype over take what the standards do and are capable of. I think the Standards are incredibly good for the price they are asking. You will be hard pressed to get the type of dynamics, clarity and sense of scale from other speakers. I think those are the 3 big points you come away with with a horn speaker.
Actually come to think about it, you can do klipsch or JBL, or Zu and probably get the same dynamics, but with obvious different tonal qualities altogether at a lower price. If the build, where it comes from, and design are important to you too, then this is an option. Like I mentioned in another thoughts thread, its a practical speaker due to its weight and, if also important to you, you can customize it with different finishes. The ultimate finish for me, would be the Japanese washi paper. My wife would just flip over those in our house….however, my listening space is exposed to outside light and i dont know how much the finish would hold up over time.
Mine? If you watch the Fleetwood Video, I have the non-roasted color. Actually, it is the actual one that Jonathan is demo’ing with. He does a pretty good job explaining.
