great news, i love my gamut L7 speakers and can't find anything as good for the money i paid for them. john

That is somewhat surprising. The question is whether leadership cultures will harmonize.

I heard a set of Gamut speakers, not sure the model, they are quite different from Magico. Beno likes a not so thick cabinet with minimal bracing and damping. It's difficult to put a difference into words, the Gamut speakers sounded good but more like a high efficient sound opposed to Magico having what I'd call an "audiophile" sound. He likes a lively sound in a lively room.

Talking with him the electronics I found interesting, he uses one huge monster output transistor that is made for welding machines to produce huge current.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking with Beno, Gamut as a company is very environmentally friendly though it may cost slightly more to do business like that. They did things like plant new trees in place of the ones cut to make their speakers. I'm not sure what happened to cause the sale, I hope they get to keep doing business as they wish. Gamut has been very exclusive in the U.S. I wonder if we might see a wider distribution under a larger company.

The total Gamut system sounded very good, I wish I had more time to listen to music I'm familiar with to get a handle on the sound.

How would anyone compare the sound of Gamut RS5i vs Magico S-5???
