Hi folks,

It will be great if anyone could perhaps share experience of listening/owning an A1? I am trying to coax my dealer to sell his A1 as I can't stretch my budget on the A1.5.

My speakers are the Kharmas S7S. I use a VAC Sig tube line stage. Thanks in advance.

I heard the CH Precision A1 amplifiers with the Magico A5 (and I think also earlier with the S5 MkII) speakers at the Magico factory and the combination sounded really, really good. I'm not sure what feedback setting they had it set at.

I am considering the A1 and Soulution 511 at the moment. A1 can still be upgraded to A1.5 so that’s a plus. The A1 seems have plenty of adjustability.

This review at Positive Feedback specifically compares the CH Precision A1 to the Soulution 710:
The major difference between the two amps is that the Soulution is tighter and more focused, with images that have just enough flesh and no excess. It shows the details in high relief. With the CH, the details are all there, but not in such high relief. Comparatively, the CH gives the impression it is relaxed, even a bit soft.

There's also this old thread right here on AudioShark: CH Precision vs. Soulution.

The person that owns the 511 mentioned the same- CH produces a warmer, relaxed sound with better separation whereas the Soulution more focused, clinical and goes deep.

I am biased more towards the CH because of adjustability, electrical compatibility with my VAC Sig preamp and future proof capability.

The Soulution 511 owner had also driven his amp with the VAC Sig and reported how holographic the presentation was.

I had A1 mono for 3 years nd then sold for M1 mono

When i tried at home and bought C1 and A1 mono,L1 was not in production yet,i had Kondo M7 ksl,GE1 and 2 Souga to biamp.

I was shocked in my system and founded CH better than Kondo in any parameter.
I sold A1 to my friend that had before Krell Evo 1,Dan D' Agostino,Viva New Aurora and found one A1 stereo, i bought to his home to try, better than the previous amp he had and bought my 2 A1 mono

In mono are better then stereo because has more weight, and little more natural
You can buy A1 and in future a second A1 to put in mono and can do a bargain before some will sell to change with A 1.5
