Nelson, what do you think of those speakers, and what would be a good price for the pair? ...2012 model?

Also, can you give me your take on the Canton Vento 890.2 DC speakers? ...And a good price for the pair?
It's an older model I believe (2005).

* I want to know more about Canton speakers (full range towers; at least 30Hz +/- 2dB). ...Usable bass down to 25Hz or so.
...Their best models (sound wise, and aesthetic wise also), and best value.
Music I listen to: Classical, Opera, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Soul, New Age, International (Africa, Jamaica, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Argentina, France, etc.). ...Avant-garde and Alternative too.

And you seem to be the most calibrated member here in this department. :)

It is for me, and also possibly for many other potential customers.

*** I like a very smooth articulated sound. ...Relaxingly detailed. ...Musical and non-fatiguing. ...Excellent dispersion on and off axis. ...Being there. ...Holographic with that disappearing act. ...Realistic soundstage. ...Accurate recreation of the recording venue ambiance, with air, ....spaciousness, clarity, great imaging, micro and macro dynamics, natural size of the instruments and musicians, vocals to die for, and just smiling sound all around. :)

Thank you!

Wow bob you listen to a wide array of music.
I see everything in there. Except rock, no rock?
And no disco. Lmao!!!!!!
I been trying to nudge Nelson for some info on canton speakers
He likes to keep them a secret I think :)

Sorry for my late response, Bob & Steve.
The Karat are not longer available
The Vento 890.2DC is an excellent speaker that retails for USD6,000
If you are interested send me a PM and I get back to you.

Is sad not to have many Canton dealers in USA. The speakers are very under US radar and
For that low price can easily compete with S1 Magico and SF Cremona.
They built they're own drivers and all is in house.
In Europe, Canton is famous and very common in the audio section.
I had for my personally used the Reference Series and I could tell you that everything that you want from
a speaker they could deliver and some more.

If you want bass to put your friends looking for a sub in your room, go get a CANTON speakers.

If you like a speaker that don't hide nothing and let you enjoy music without a hole in your pocket, get CANTON.

In Dominican Republic , Canton is the speakers that everybody wants to have and is mostly because everybody
Has it. Is very hard not to find a house that don't have a HT or Stereo system with Canton.

Nelson, thx!

You are a Canton dealer right? ...And from the Dominican Republic to Vancouver Island, it is a very short distance indeed; spiritually. :)

Why is the Karat 770 DC not available any longer? ...It's too bad because they are more my type. But, I've seen a pair for $1,999 (Canadian dollars) here closer to home. Is that a good price? ...Second-hand of course, but perfect condition.

- I asked about the Vento 890.2 DC more with a friend in mind. Back in 2005 they retail for $5,000/pair. ...The price is $1,000 more now.
I'm looking for a pair (in the USA) for less than $3,000/pair. ...I checked a review from Stereophile, and it was quite positive.
But for me personally, according to the measurements, bass doesn't go low enough; I want at least 30Hz (pretty much flat, in line with the rest of the audio range).

I asked you because I want to hear all you have to say, so that way I know where to concentrate.

Again, thank you Nelson. :)

* Steve; Rock, Pop, Disco, Electronica, Rap, Western, and other similar music genres aren't my bag.
Of course I have many Classic Rock LPs and CDs in my music collection; but seldom I'm listening to them now.
...Life is just too short to be stuck in the past; you got to look at what's new and beautiful musically. :)

Bob,
They discontinued the karat series. :(
Old Retail was USD3,500

For you I prefer to go up to Reference 5.2DC
thats the one I want for you
thats the sweet spot
