Been researching bi-amping and recently has seen a pair of speaker wires that terminate in two sets of speaker leads in order to bi-wire your speakers. Isn't this just circumventing the crossovers in the speakers themselves? What is the purpose of this?
Also on the subject of bi-amping, what about using the a&b speaker outputs of the same amplifier? Would this overload the output stage of the amplifier since it's driving twice the load into the same speaker? Is there any benefit of doing it this way as opposed to having four separate amplifier channels?
