There is a local guy selling a Gemini X1 power amp for $150. I vaguely remember hearing the name Gemini but I don't remember anything much about the amps. Some reviews on the Internet have called them entry level - one guy compared Gemini amps to Berhringer amps - but other reviews/writeups seem to indicate that they are a better quality, so I'm just wondering if anyone here has any experience or knowledge about Gemini amps.

I believe they are Pro/DJ amps. There use/specs for home audio I have no clue

It looks like it was about $200 new so about $100 to $120 would be a fair used price. It is about 85 watts per channel and depending on your speakers might be a good match. Good luck.

Hi,

Gemini Sound started as a line of products geared mostly towards mobile DJs. I believe lower end than say Crown/QSC. Their mixers and dual CD players were fairly popular with DJs back in the 80s/90s. Personally, I would rank them similar to Behringer, Numark, American DJ, etc.

Not sure on their performance in a home audio setting either, as Mikado463 stated.

Hope that helps!

Thanks all. I was considering it as an emergency backup for my Hafler in my music recording room. Sounds like I'd be better off with something else.
